Fresh from his England Test recall, Matt Fisher endured a dramatic opening over. His very first delivery disappeared for six off the bat of Jacks, but he responded immediately by dismissing the opener with the next ball.
Leg-spinner Mason Crane, replacing the out-of-form Adam Zampa, then tightened the screws. He removed James Vince with his very first delivery and conceded only three runs from his opening ten balls, giving Spirit renewed hope.
Nicholas Pooran, playing his first match at Lord's, counterattacked with 39, while captain Sam Curran anchored the chase with 33. However, Spirit regained momentum when David Willey produced a brilliant diving direct-hit run out to remove Pooran.
Raza Changes the Match in Just 18 Deliveries
Pooran's dismissal brought Sikandar Raza to the crease—and the game changed almost instantly.
Having only recently arrived from Sri Lanka to replace Rashid Khan, Raza wasted no time announcing himself. He launched three towering sixes within his first seven deliveries, including a massive 105-metre maximum that nearly cleared the ground.
Together with Sam Curran, Raza added 41 runs in just 18 balls, completely shifting the momentum and reducing the target to just 29 runs from the final 20 deliveries.
Spirit briefly fought back by dismissing Curran and Sherfane Rutherford in quick succession, but James Coles' expensive spell, which included Raza's gigantic six, effectively ended the contest.
Although Raza eventually departed with ten balls remaining, Ollie Pope calmly finished the chase to secure victory with six balls to spare.
Raza Reflects on Dream Debut
Speaking after the match, Raza admitted the whirlwind nature of the past few days.
Having been in Sri Lanka just four days earlier, the Zimbabwe all-rounder joked that he barely knew what day it was before making his Hundred debut. He said he simply tried to swing hard and was delighted to find the middle of the bat.
Raza also emphasized how quickly T20 matches can change, noting that a spell of just ten deliveries can completely transform the outcome—a perfect summary of his match-winning cameo.

The victory moves MI London into second place on the points table and significantly boosts their chances of securing a direct route into the knockout stage.
